Replication package: Financial Inclusion within Structural Persistence — Evidence on the Informal Economy in 56 Developing Countries

Résumé
This replication package accompanies the article "Financial Inclusion within Structural Persistence: Evidence on the Informal Economy in 56 Developing Countries." The package reproduces all empirical results reported in the manuscript, including the main tables, supplementary tables, robustness checks, econometric diagnostics and publication-ready outputs. It contains: a complete Stata replication pipeline (00_run_all.do) reproducing all estimates and diagnostics; seventeen Stata modules covering data preparation, index construction, estimation, robustness analyses and export of results; independent Python scripts used exclusively to generate publication-quality tables and figures; an independent R implementation for replication; the original cleaned datasets required for replication; publication-ready outputs in CSV, XLSX, DOCX and RTF formats; complete documentation, citation metadata and replication instructions. The empirical analysis is based on publicly available data from the IMF Financial Access Survey, the IMF Financial Development Index, the World Bank Informal Economy Database, the World Development Indicators and the Penn World Table. The package reproduces every table, estimate and diagnostic reported in the article. Python and R implementations are provided as independent verification tools and do not replace the primary Stata estimation pipeline.
