L'intégration pédagogique des TIC dans l'enseignement supérieur au Burkina Faso : accessibilité, usages et appropriation par les étudiants

Résumé

The objective of our research is to study the determinants of the adoption and uses of information and communication technologies (ICT) by students of the Thomas SANKARA University (UTS). This led us to study respectively the accessibility, technological and informational skills of students using ICT in their learning, the factors limiting the adoption of digital by students in their learning, the practices and uses of digital by students.The study was built around the theoretical concepts of adoption, uses, appropriation of ICT and digital and informational skills. These different concepts are part of the theoretical framework of ICT adoption and usage models and more specifically the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model.For a better understanding of the research questions and to consolidate the relevance and validity of the study, we adopted a quantitative methodology. We built our data analysis strategy based on descriptive and multivariate statistical approaches.At the end of a survey conducted with 373 UTS students, our results show that the essential determinants positively affecting the use of ICT by students in their learning activities are respectively "perceived usefulness", "ease of use", "social influences: influence of peers, influence of professors, academic valorization" and "facilitating conditions: involvement of the administration". Also, the study showed that the sociodemographic moderator variables (gender, field of study and level of study) had no moderating effect on the different relationships between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and intention to use ICT. On the other hand, the sociodemographic moderator variable "level of study" has a positive influence on the relationship of facilitating conditions and intention to use ICT.
