Facteurs Associés aux Sorties Contre Avis Médical chez les Patients Insuffisants Rénaux à Ouahigouya (Burkina Faso) : Une Étude Transversale de 254 Patients
Hien Siébou, Zoehinga Patrice, Bonzi Yeremade Juste, Sompougdou Camille, Kone Moussokoro Hadja, Ouermi Ousmane6, Coulibaly GérardIntroduction.

An Unusual Case of Human Scabies with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Diagnostic and Management Challenges in a Resource-Constrained Setting: Case Report
Fagnima Traoré, Isidore W. Yerbanga, François Quiswindésida Koala, Hamado Ouédraogo, André Nagalo, Abdoul Kader Dem, Nathalie Rabak-basba Mireille Kabré, Francine Nadia Kaboret, Seydou Nakanabo Diallo, Sanata BambaScabies is a contagious skin infestation caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Human contamination occurs mainly through prolonged skin-to-skin contact with an infected person. The diagnosis of human scabies in case of co- morbidity with another chronic skin disease could be a real challenge. Here, we report an unusual and rare case of co-morbidity of crusted scabies with systemic lupus erythematosus in resource-limited setting treated successfully with a combination of medical treatments with lifestyle and dietary measures. This case also showed the diagnostic and management challenges in a setting where the health system presents some weaknesses. Keywords:

Assessment of solar photovoltaic potential variations in Burkina Faso using SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios by 2050
Serge Dimitri BAZYOMO, Stanislas SANFO, Batablinlè LAMBONI, Razack OUEDRAOGO, Célestin MANIRAKIZA, Emmanuel LAWIN and Abdoulaye OUEDRAOGOThe study assesses climate change and energy transition in Burkina Faso, a country endowed with high solar irradiation. It evaluates the variability of photovoltaic solar potential (PVP) using historical climate data (1985-2014) and future projections (2015-2050) from five CMIP6 climate models under SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, and SSP5-8.5 scenarios. The analysis focuses on surface solar irradiation and air temperature. Nationally, PVP is projected to decrease by 1.04% (SSP1-2.6) to 3.10% (SSP5-8.5) compared to the historical period. The most significant reductions are expected to affect dry and semi–arid areas, which were previously the most suitable for solar energy production. The high-emission scenario SSP5-8.5, associated with severe global warming, results in the most substantial losses, particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the country. Despite this projected decline, these ar...

Réné Bognounou, Hervé Tieno, Severin Kone, Zoungrana Lassané , Zorome K.A.
(p < 0,05).
Résultats > Au total, 339 patients diabétiqu...

INTRA AND EXTRA HOST MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF HIV VIRUS INFECTION DYNAMICS 1, 2
Boukary BEYI, Famane Kambiré, Zongo Gérard, Gabriel BISSANGAIn Burkina Faso, there have been instances of COVID-19 and population displacement due to insecurity and terrorism since 2019 through 2021. These factors may contribute to risky behavior and lower guards against contracting AIDS among the population. Being infected with the HIV virus indicates that the individual is either not receiving treatment or not adhering adequately to medication. To realign the model to reality, it is necessary to improve the understanding of the internal dynamics of the Virus-Lymphocytes T-ARV triplet. This can be achieved through developing a mathematical model that tracks the evolution over time of the distribution of these entities in the organism. In this paper, we present a reaction-diffusion-dissipation model that reflects the internal dynamics of co-infection with HIV1 and HIV2 while taking ARV medications. We then conduct
a rigorous mathematical analysi...

Validation and Investigation of Correlations to Determine Daily Mean Values of Climatic Parameters
Ouedraogo Souleymane, Nana G. Gilbert, Lankouandé Roland, Ky S. M. Thierry, Kam Sié and Bathiebo D. JosephThis study evaluated selected correlation models for estimating daytime profiles of global solar radiation on a horizontal surface and ambient temperature at a measurement site in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Experimental data were collected using a pyranometer, a K-type thermocouple and a data logger installed at Joseph KI-ZERBO University. Measurements were recorded at five-minute intervals during selected days in December, January, March and April, and monthly average daytime profiles were obtained. Two
trigonometric correlations previously used in existing literature were first applied to describe the temporal variation of solar radiation and ambient temperature. In addition, Gaussian-type correlations were developed using non-linear regression in MATLAB to represent the measured profiles. For global solar radiation, the literature-based sine model produced coefficients of determinat...
