ON OPTIMAL CONTROL OF AN EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SYSTEM STRUCTURED BY AGE

Résumé
In this paper, we study optimal control problems for a system structured according to the age a and position x of an epidemic of the sveicrs type. We focus on solid biological knowledge about the modes of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus via airborne transmission. First, we show the conditions for the existence of solutions and the principle of structured system analysis. Next, we formulate a distributed adjoint system associated with the epidemiological system. Finally, we prove the existence of solutions to this adjoint system for better optimal control of the epidemic.
