Pseudotumors from tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a condition that affect one-third of the world population with an incidence of over 8 million new cases a year; hence, remaining a major public health problem. Moreover, the clinical polymorphism of its extra-pulmonary forms makes the diagnosis challenging. In the surgical setting, cases of extrapulmonary tuberculosis has clinical manifestations that may mislead to evoke malignant tumors.These clinical presentations are referred as pseudo-tumoral forms of tuberculosis. In the present study, we reported our experience in managing 05 pediatric cases of pseudo-tumoral forms of tuberculosis. We aimed to highlight the diagnosis difficulties and the paradigm that lead to establish the diagnosis.
