Résumé

In this work, we present an experimental study of the thermal behavior of a hollow block with PCM (phase change materials) or without PCM. The device was produced within the platform of the Renewable Thermal Energy Laboratory (L.E.T.RE) of Université Joseph KI-ZERBO in Ouagadougou. The PCM used in this experiment is paraffin. The results obtained show that the temperature of the internal wall of a hollow block containing paraffin is lower (29.8°C; 28.8°C and 29°C) than that of a hollow block without MCP (34 .5°C; 33.3°C; 35.2°C). To validate the
experimental results obtained, a two dimensions (2D) simulation was carried out on the Comsol Multiphysics software. The results obtained during the simulation agree with the experimental results with an error of 0.924°C.
